Capturing bird life, Isle of May
The advent of consumer drones reignited my interest in photography and introduced me to a whole new world of video editing. Apart from gaining unique perspectives of the world, these cameras with wings are just great fun to fly. A famous photographer once said "A good photograph is knowing where to stand" by which he meant it's important to have your camera in the right spot. I think this also applies to drone photography, which opens up a whole new world of possible places to position your camera.

Hand catching the Mini 3 Pro, South Queensferry
I'm still learning about photography (I don't believe there's any end to learning new skills and techniques), and most of the photographs on this site are technically imperfect, but they all mean something to me, and I hope at least one of them might communicate something to the viewer.
In terms of equipment, I've acquired at last a long-sought-after Canon EOS 5D Mk. IV camera body and I own several Canon L series lenses. Recent additions are two DJI drones - a tiny Mini 3 Pro that can fly almost anywhere, and a much heftier (and noisier) Mavic 3 Pro, a beast of a machine that features a Hasselblad main camera.
